About

After 16 years of clinical and research work examining adolescent and young adult health risk behavior in New Mexico, Oregon, and Rhode Island, Dr. Sarah Feldstein Ewing was appointed the Health Net, Inc. Chair in Alcohol and Substance Abuse at UConn School of Medicine, where she directs the Adolescent Neuroscience Collaborative for Health Resilience (ANCHoR).

ANCHoR aims to increase understanding of the links between basic biological mechanisms, effective interventions for reducing health risk behaviors, and adolescent and young adult health outcomes. The Collaborative operates within the Department of Psychiatry at UConn Health under PI Feldstein Ewing, and consists of a dedicated research team and funding portfolio supporting translational research projects.
